Compare electric scooters and gear sold in Australia. Each state and territory sets its own rules, and some still ban private scooters in public.
Check the law before you buy. Rules are set by each state and territory. NSW: it is currently illegal to ride privately owned e-scooters in public places; only shared e-scooters in designated trial sites may be ridden (the NSW Government has published draft rules as part of plans to legalise riding). Queensland: personal mobility devices must be designed for one person, weigh no more than 60 kg, not exceed a motor-propelled speed of 25 km/h and fit size limits; from 31 August 2026 riders must be 16 and hold at least a learner licence (with exemptions); an approved bicycle or motorbike helmet is compulsory; 12 km/h limit on footpaths. Victoria: private e-scooters are legal for riders 16+, helmet required, 20 km/h riding limit, maximum 45 kg, and on shared paths or roads with limits up to 60 km/h (not footpaths). Product pages must tell buyers to check their state's rules, and NSW buyers that private riding in public places is currently illegal.

We list models whose specifications we have checked on the maker’s own website for this region. We don’t show prices because they change daily: use the buttons to see current specs and prices. Always check the scooter meets the rules where you will ride it.
